Guselnikov Grigory Alexandrovich is a Russian investor, businessman, former major shareholder of the Latvian Norvik Banka with representative offices in Russia and the UK. Grigory Guselnikov was born into a family of Soviet engineers on February 25, 1976 in Novosibirsk. He spent his childhood years in his parents' hometown, Barnaul. In 1992 he graduated from secondary School No. 72 in Barnaul with a silver medal. In the same year he entered the Faculty of Economics, and in 1998 graduated from Tomsk Polytechnic University with a master's degree in economics. During his studies, he interned in the UK (at the University of Warwick) and the USA (The American Institute of Banking). Since 1996 he has been working in the banking sector. Since 1997 Guselnikov has been Deputy Head of the Personnel Management Department of Inkombank. Since 1999 - Head of the Corporate Development Department of Guta-Bank. Since 2000 - Head of the Department of Labor and Motivation of Rosbank. In January 2001, Guselnikov moved to Binbank, where he headed the retail business department and joined the board. Since 2002, he has been Senior Vice President, then First Vice President of Binbank. In 2003 Guselnikov became a shareholder of the Kirov Vyatka Bank. On June 16, 2008, he was appointed President of the Binbank. In 2010, he left Binbank and concentrated on the development of Vyatka Bank, which began to develop actively after the Kirov Region was headed by Governor Nikita Belykh, familiar to Guselnikov since the mid-2000s. Using the patronage of the regional government, this bank took over from Sberbank the service of such regional enterprises as Vyatavtodor, Fuel Management, Energy Saving Agency, Oblkommunservice, with a cash flow of up to 4 billion rubles a year. In 2011, Grigory Guselnikov made one of the record deals in the London real estate market: he purchased the flagship Rolex store in the prestigious One Hyde Park complex. The transaction amount was about 13 million pounds. The property was bought in 2015 by an investor from Saudi Arabia at a price that set a new record in the London real estate market - more than 22 million pounds. In December 2013, Grigory Guselnikov acquired 50% +1 share of the Latvian Norvik Banka, acting as a partner of the London investment fund G2 Capital Partners. As of July 1, 2014, Russian businessman Guselnikov owned 83.63% of Norvik Banka shares. At the end of 2017, PJSC Norvik Bank was bought out by Grigory Guselnikov and his closest relatives from the Latvian Norvik Banka for 30 million euros. In November 2018, Norvik Banka was renamed PNB Banka. In the summer of 2019, Grigory Guselnikov and his family members sold all their shares of PNB Banka to a consortium of investors from France and the United States led by billionaire Roger Tamraz. At the same time, the European Central Bank recognized PNB bank as "in financial difficulties", its activities were suspended, and then insolvency was declared and liquidation began. Guselnikov is a regular participant of the TV show "What? Where? When?" since 2002, from 2010 to 2016 — "Keeper of traditions" of the club "What? Where? When?".
